Meet Ming Kipa Sherpa, who made history at the age of 15 by reaching the summit on May 24, 2003. Not only is she the youngest Sherpa, but she’s also the youngest Nepali to climb Everest.
Ming Kipa held the record for the youngest person to achieve this feat for seven years, from 2003 to 2010 (Nepali). Despite Nepalese law prohibiting climbers under 16, Ming Kipa, alongside her brother, Mingma Gyula, and sister, Lhakpa, displayed extraordinary determination.
Their remarkable ascent proves that mountaineers possess a rare breed of superhuman determination.
